IMDB rating: 6.10 Plot: Gail (Meryl Streep) is a professional at water rafting. She twigs every day, and she is in a very good shape. She takes her family, one day, to a rafting trip down the river, but she has no idea that the planed trip is about to become a nightmare. Two escaping robbers with a handgun, meet the family in the way, and join them to the trip. Only later the Gail realize that their new friends are dangerous criminals, but it’s too late. The two men force them to stay together, and to keep cruising down the river. The family’s life are risked not only by the 2 men, but also by the river which becomes more stormy and wilder. |

A Mer Folk’s Fable
Thrice to sing in this eternity of water, this flurry of song awake on my tongue,
Stretched out as a bride’s milk ribbon, leaning as glass on this black speculation of stone.
Each colourless blade bows over the next, and dry every shard with a band from her lung,
A crystal of brine that encrusts ebony pits, a wash of black upon seaweed bone.
I talk into the crinkled skin of this ocean, the unbroken folds of brine,
They wail in growth through teal seams, a fierce swelling birthed of ink cut tears.
A rush of salt licked water, a thunderous storm that stirs beneath opal shine,
Passing in rapids through my thread of vein, a rush of bubbles in a locket of years.
