Does water breaking start and stop?
I’m trying to tell if my water has broken. I’m right at 39 1/2 weeks and I have been having lower back pains and Braxton Hicks contractions. I woke up this morning and felt a little leaking that continued for a little while, but stopped after I’d been sitting down for a while.
Try laying down for about 10 or 15 minutes and then stand up. If you experience a gush or trickle upon standing, your water has probably broken. If not, you may have been leaking urine. You can always call your doctor or midwife just to be sure though! Good luck and congratulations on your baby

my water broke with my first. at first it was some trickling and i had to put a pad on. it felt like a lot of discharge or something. and then i stood up to go to the bathroom and gush, it all came out. and this was all in a matter of 1 hour. so i would call your doctor and explain. b/c if the fluid starts to leak you are susceptable to infection. so call the doc and see if they think you should come in.

I got shocked yesterday…what should I do ?
So I was putting the lint catcher back in to the dryer, before it started to storm I had it half way in, when I went blind for like 3 mins and felt a horrible pain to my head to my toes… I guess that lighting had to have hit the house and hit me! I have some head pains and my right leg and back hurts really bad! And I feel REALLY SCARED of everything now! like loud stuff and the dark!!!what should I do ?
An electric shock pretty much causes all the muscles to ache because of extreme isometic contraction that is like over-exercising your entire body. As long as you are not experiencing any irregularities with your heart (skipping beats, changed pulse rate, etc) or neurological problems (numbness, tingling, vision or hearing problems), then you just have to wait until your muscles recover. Drinking a sports drink like Gatorade, keeping hydrated, stretching, and walking will all help to speed up recovery.

Yup, you got bit. The lesson learned here is not to touch anything electrical during an electrical storm. Yes, even the telephone. The aches and pains are a result of getting hit and should clear up in a couple days or so. If not, then go see your doctor. Being scared of stuff now is purely psychological. Much like being thrown from a horse, if one is going to overcome the fear, one has to get right back on and ride that son of a gun into the dirt.
You got fortunate this time, most do not. Do not fear electricity but DO respect it. Without this healthy respect a person is going to get hurt or dead instantly, fried from the inside out. That soft gooey stuff under your skin does not like being electrified.

I am from the UK but I was working in Italy as a waiter. I was serving a table of a group of Americans on holiday. They were really loud mouth and one of them was screaming at me because the menu was in Italian.. when it should have been written in ‘the normal American language’ as he said. I’m Cherokee. I never got to truly experience my culture or what should have been my native tongue like many descendants from the Trail of Tears. You see my culture was cleansed away by another after they tried to march us to our death.

I'm 20yrs old and I have no life, what can I do about it?
I keep finding myself in the same situation, Its 10:00, my day off, and I’m sitting on my couch. I cant drink, (I get very sick if I drink ANY alcohol) so clubs are no fun. All of my friends are in school and dont want to go out (or just want to go clubbing), and I suck at dating and dont have a boyfriend. Any ideas what I can do to keep from going stir crazy?
Again its not during the day that I cant find stuff to do. I have a hobby, I ride horses. Its my evenings that bother me.

wow, slow down man. why do you need a life right now? enjoy your time, get a hobby. go to the gym. your 20 years old. at 20, i had no life either. now im 32, in school, trying to focus on school and going to the gym and raising my son everyday. i like it, but it was cool not to have a life. you don’t need to grow up so fast. take it easy.

maybe you can get out and volunteer your time somewhere, because it’s alot of help thats needed and plus you will meet good people too. so try to figure out somethings that you’d like to do and help out with and you’ll be happy you did it.

I’m 20/f too. I have so much fun at clubs even though I don’t drink any alcohol. Not everyone at a club drinks, you know. The bars are never busy whenever I go. That must mean that not too many ppl there drink a lot, right? If you want a boyfriend, go clubbing. It’s a place to meet guys.
Also, you should read. That’ll keep you busy. Dance, go to the gym, cook! If you like those things. I’m just giving you ideas of what to do with yourself. Oh, and you should volunteer !! It looks great on job applications and college applications, one of which you’ll eventually be filling out in the future.

I’ve never heard of it until now, but I must admit, I really like it. It’s refreshing and sounds pretty cool. Of course, I would never actually use it for a child because it’s a bit too "out there" for actually using it. Oddly enough, I’ve always been drawn to names starting with the letters "Ced-". I love Cedric for a boy and Cedrine (it’s French) for a girl. I would pronounce the name Cedar SED-er, because like in Cedric and Cedrine, I like the SED sound.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials detained seven people from Honduras after a raid Thursday in Anne Arundel County, prompting a demonstration outside the Baltimore Federal Building.
ICE spokeswoman Ernestine Fobbs confirmed that an enforcement action took place and that seven Hondurans were in custody.
She said that because the investigation is continuing, she could provide only limited information. Fobbs did not disclose the name of the business where the Hondurans were working or the location of the business.
Protesters gathered outside the Federal Building in Baltimore late Thursday afternoon. About 15 people held signs and shouted slogans, including, "Reform not raids" and "Stop separating families."
Leaders of Casa de Maryland, advocates for immigrants’ rights, said they were told that seven males, one of them a juvenile, were taken into custody at a Hanover restaurant.
Elizabeth Alex, Casa’s lead organizer for the Baltimore region, said there haven’t been many workplace raids under the Obama administration. Advocates had hoped that raids would stop until comprehensive immigration reform can be achieved.
"We’re unhappy we’re seeing a return to Bush-era policy," Alex said.
"We would hope immigration enforcement would be reserved for people who are criminals," she said later.
The protesters hoped that the detainees would be released on their own recognizance or be permitted to meet with legal counsel within 24 hours.
Alex said that people who have been detained after raids might be given contact information for lawyers but might not necessarily reach them before they are sent to detention centers in York, Pa., or on the Eastern Shore.
"Due process is part of the foundation of this country," said Gustavo Andrade, senior organizing director of Casa de Maryland.
Lawyers for Casa waited 90 minutes in the ICE offices before they were told that they would not be allowed to meet with the detainees, Alex said.
